In September 2019, the Association’s activities committee organized a family trip to visit the Syrian Orthodox Archdiocese of St. Jacob’s Church in Warburg for three days.
During the visit, members of the Association and their families were also acquainted with the Archbishop of the Syriac Orthodox Church in Germany Mar Philoxenos Matthias Nayis and Father Stefan Fidan, who welcomed the visit and introduced the group to the various sections of the monastery. The importance of the Syriac language and the need to revive it and circulation through generations.
The members’ visit to the monastery coincided with the birthday of the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, where the Mass was commemorated in the monastery church.
